The Hindu Business Line : CII, Sudanese chamber set up task force

IN an effort to increase economic and industrial cooperation between India and Sudan, the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) and the Sudanese Chamber of Industries Association have set up a joint task force. An agreement to this effect was signed at the meeting that the Sudanese business delegation had with CII.

The task force will identify specific projects for industrial cooperation between the private sector companies with particular reference to joint ventures. The opportunities for investment would be identified and assistance would be provided to the companies to draw up suitable projects, the chamber has said in a statement.

Among the areas, which have been identified for industrial cooperation with Sudan include agricultural equipment, automobiles, electrical appliances, electronic devices, cold storage and ice making plants and confectionary making machinery.
