Mumbai , Nov. 18 THE single serve sachet of soap, shampoo or oil, a feature peculiar to the Indian FMCG industry, now has its equivalent in the pre-paid cellular card segment as well. Idea Cellular has announced the launch of arguably India's first daily prepaid card, worth just Rs 6. The Rs 6 prepaid card is called Chitchat FLEXI, and gives full talk time. The facility is open to all existing and new subscribers through a "simple migration process from a fixed processing fee to a flexible fee," according to a news release from the company. Idea aims to be among the top three cellular players in the country; currently it is among the top four, Mr Vikram Mehmi, officiating CEO of Idea Cellular, said, pointing out that Idea is present only in five circles in the country. Another new introduction is BUZZ99, called the lowest-ever rental plan (Rs 99 per month) from any private operator in the country. Incoming calls are free, with outgoing charged at Rs 2.49 per minute.
