ITC Infotech launches educational initiative in Bangalore

BANGALORE: ITC Infotech and Parametric Technology Corporation have launched Navrachna-India School Programme, an educational initiative that will help students master the use of technology and prepare for careers in design, technology and engineering.

The programme, which was formally launched in Bangalore, will cover 1,000 schools under the Mahiti Sindhu Programme of the Karnataka Government, all the 120 Delhi Public Schools Trust and about 10 Kendriya Vidyalayas in Bangalore, Vidhya Shilp and the Indus International School. About 10,000 students from classes 5 to 10 are expected to use the software in the first year of the programme.

All participating schools will be incorporating design and technology topics in their curriculum or as part of extra curricular activities, a press release said.
