Hyderabad , Nov. 18

THE Employees' State Insurance Corporation has assured that the problem of non-availability of doctors at some ESI dispensaries and hospitals would be taken up.

"We will take up the issue with the Director of ESI Medical Services of the State," Mr K. Mishra, Regional Director of ESI Corporation (Hyderabad), said.

Addressing a gathering of Federation of Andhra Pradesh Chamber of Commerce and Industry members here, he said the ESIC had taken over the Nacharam Hospital to extend medical services to the insured people.

Mr Mishra, along with Mr Francy Joseph, Regional Provident Fund Commissioner, was participating at a FAPCCI-organised interactive meeting.

Mr Joseph said the Provident Fund Organisation had introduced Social Security Cards in metropolitan cities, including Hyderabad, for the members of provident fund.

"This card enables the members to retain the same number even if they switch over from one organisation to another. Also, it enables them to enjoy the benefits or settle their claims from anywhere in the country," a FAPCCI press release, quoting the Commissioner, said.
