SBH net up 45 pc in first half

STATE Bank of Hyderabad has posted an income of Rs 1,368.28 crore and a net profit of Rs 147.55 crore during the first half of the current fiscal ended September 30, 2003.

The bank's profit increased by 45.23 per cent and income rose by 20.27 per cent when compared to an income of Rs 1,137.66 crore and a net profit of Rs 101.60 crore registered during the same period the previous year.

The bank stated that its deposits increased by Rs 3,693.31 crore to Rs 20,692.15 crore and its advances rose by Rs 1,511.19 crore to Rs 10,244.16 crore during the period under consideration. The net non-performing assets declined to 2.82 per cent from 5.09 per cent. The number of ATMs doubled to 60 from 30.
