Our Bureau

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Chief Minister, Mr A. K. Antony, has said that a three-member team of Ministers has been deputed to New Delhi with a mandate to get the Centre to agree to some of the State's proposals for alleviating the problems of non-resident Keralites.

The team, comprising the Minister for Non-Resident Keralites Welfare, Mr M.M. Hassan, the Minister for Public Works, Dr M.K. Muneer, and the Minister for Labour, Mr Babu Divakaran, will meet with the Union Ministers and Embassy officials concerned in New Delhi.

Among other things, the Kerala team would seek the removal of visa controls on job aspirants from the State to a number of foreign destinations and the setting up of counters for attesting certificates and other credentials of those bound for overseas.
