Karnataka: More Hindi usage stressed

MANGALORE: Mr P.K. Gupta, Executive Director of Corporation Bank, has stressed the need for increasing the use of Hindi in internal correspondence.

Participating in the 35th meeting of the Mangalore Town Official Language Implementation Committee at Corporation Bank here, he said that translation should be resorted to only when absolutely necessary and everyone should do maximum work in Hindi.

Mr Achuth Pai, General Manager, welcomed the gathering. Mr Suresh C. Kureel, Official Language Officer, Corporation Bank, proposed a vote of thanks.

Officials from nationalised banks, public sector undertakings and financial institutions attended the meeting.
