BPL mobile launches `New Mots'

BPL Mobile has launched `New Mots' with enhanced product features on Mots and a new price of Rs 99.

Apart from the price, the Mots card has a recharge denomination of Rs 275, besides features such as Happy Hours, Mobile to Mobile, Mobile Alert, Follow Me roaming, miVoice. Showcasing a fresh youthful, chic and sporty imagery, new Mots will be presented in an uncluttered international design format.

Coinciding with the launch, BPL Mobile is also planning to make significant investments on infrastructure with over 40 cell sites being added in the next few months. The company has proposed to invest Rs 20 crore in the next three months to ensure that Mots continues to be the most preferred brand in its category, Mr Mohammed Saleem, Chief Operating Officer of BPL Mobile Kerala, said.

The re-launch of mots is the first step to upgrade the pre-paid platform to the intelligent network platform. The entry barrier for going mobile has been reduced significantly with starter pack of Rs 99 and lowest recharge denomination of Rs 275.

New Mots is a two-pronged strategy of enhancing value proposition with new pricing and services, while increasing brand preference with new positioning and imagery, he added. The company is also planning to launch a loyalty programme on Mots.
