New Delhi , Nov. 28

THE Government should reduce excise duty on personal computers (PCs) from the current 16 per cent to eight per cent and allow 100 per cent depreciation in order to help boost PC penetration in the country, according to a report by Skoch Consultancy.

Skoch said reduction of duties and taxes would help spur growth in the market by as much as 30 per cent a year.
