India invited to Europe trade fair

Our Bureau

Hyderabad , Dec. 8

AT least 25 million Indians have the purchasing power to buy top quality European products, according to a survey done by the European Fashion Textiles Export Council (FTEC), based in Brussels.

To exploit this potential, Planetfair GmbH, one of the Hamburg-based trade fair organisers has targeted Indian companies to participate in its maiden show `Prestige-2004', a new trend fashion and lifestyle exhibition in Dubai, during February 8-10, 2004.

India is the only Asian country that is being invited to take part in the show, which would see the top fashion products from 23 European countries, including Italy, Germany, Turkey, Spain, France and Belgium taking part, the Managing Director of Planetfair, Mr Ingo Klover, told presspersons here. The show would be held twice a year — February and September — to reach the best fashion products to Asian and the CIS countries, Mr Klover said.
