TWO way trade between India and Korea has increased by close to 50 per cent from $2.6 billion to $4 billion and Korean investments in India are also increasingly rapidly.
This was stated by the Korean Minister for Trade, Mr Hwang Doo-Yun, while addressing a meeting organised by the Confederation of Indian Industries here today.
The Minister said that over the years, the relationship between India and Korea has matured with the realisation of the fact that both the countries have a shared perspective on a wide range of international economic and strategic issues.
The Korean Ambassador, Mr Kwon Soon-Tae, said that Korean investment in India would rise and by 2010, two-way export between the two countries is expected to reach $10 billion.
