Y.P. Gupta is new Addl GM of SE Rly

MR Y.P. Gupta has taken over as the Additional General Manager of South Eastern Railway (SER). Prior to this, he was the Chief Mechanical Engineer of East Coast Railway, Bhubaneswar.

Besides being the Executive Director of Indian Railways' Research Design Standard Organisation (RDSO) at Lucknow, Mr Gupta also served as DRM, Sambalpur.

He also held the post of Additional DRM at Guwahati, Moradabad and Lucknow Divisions, and also as Chief Workshop Engineer of N-E Railway. Mr Gupta's services were also loaned by the Union Government to the Government of Iraq for five years as a Mechanical Engineering Specialist to assist in the construction of the 550-km long Baghdad Alqaim Akashat high-speed railway project.
