Training to organic farmers in Aluva

KOCHI: A five-day long national training programme for organic farmers conducted by Indocert (Indian Organic Certification Agency) has begun at the YMCA camp site at Aluva.

The training programme includes 35 participants from Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Orissa, Gujarat, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and Kerala. It aims to train resource persons of NGOs, agricultural Universities, research institutes, agricultural departments and co-operative bodies interested in promoting certified organic production, processing and trade on diverse aspects of organic farming.
