Manipal Hospital to offer rehab, sports medicine

MANIPAL Hospital, Bangalore's landmark multi-speciality healthcare destination, has introduced its 40th speciality in the form of Rehabilitation and Sports Medicine.

The department has a dedicated team of doctors, nurses and professionals who will provide home care, out-patient care, in-patient care and sports injury programmes.

Mr R. Basil, CEO, Manipal Hospital, Bangalore said, "Rehabilitation & Sports Medicine is a unique offering that strives for excellence in recovery and ensures quality of life for patients, including delivering medical care at the patient's doorstep if needed."

The speciality will enable Manipal Hospital to venture into a new but growing areas of healthcare such as medical and nursing assistance at homes and rehabilitation of patients who need not be hospitalised but require long-term medical care.
