CA solutions for Shamrao Vithal Co-operative Bank

BANGALORE: Computer Associates International Inc (CA) on Tuesday announced that Shamrao Vithal Co-operative Bank Ltd, one of the oldest co-operative banks in Asia, has deployed CA's Unicenter family of solutions to simplify IT administration and improve customer service levels in support of strategic growth objectives.

The 96-year-old co-operative bank operates through a network of 38 branches and four extension counters in the States of Maharashtra, Karnataka and Goa. It has an annual turnover of over Rs 2,600 crore. The bank, which offers a full line of financial service to customers on a real time basis, had to adopt critical IT infrastructure to reduce operational cost and manage mission- critical operations efficiently.

The Unicenter Service Desk will help the bank in making proactive and remote resolution of technical issues and improve the problem resolution cycle. It will also reduce administrative costs and system downtime, leaving more time for IT staff to focus on strategic and business-critical issues.
