Buyer-seller meet of SSIs

COIMBATORE: A three-day buyer-seller meet styled `Subcon 2003' (a sub-contracting fair) is being organised in Coimbatore which will provide an opportunity for the small-scale units to showcase their products to become suppliers to large industries.

According to Mr Tee. Narayanaswami, President, Coimbatore District Small Industries Association, several major buyers, including Southern Railways, BEML, HMT, NLC, ICF, Ashok Leyland, LMW and Pricol, have registered to take part in the meet and he expected around 200 sellers to display their products.

He said during the fair to be held from December 12 to 14, there would be seminars on topics like low cost automation, CNC machining and cutting tool technology.
