CATS tapping domestic market

Our Bureau

Kolkata , Dec. 12

CA-TCG Software Pvt Ltd (CATS), a joint venture between Computer Associates Inc and The Chatterjee Group, is tapping the domestic market for IT consulting and infrastructure management solutions, the CEO of CATS, Mr Rajeev Goswami, has said.

Over time, the domestic market was expected to account for around 10 per cent of the company's total turnover, the balance being accounted for by exports, he added.

At a press conference here , Mr Goswami said Indian businesses had acquired global dimensions and it was only appropriate that CATS offered its IT consulting and infrastructure management services and solutions to Indian companies. In India, CATS would target large- and medium-sized players. "We will also offer our infrastructure management solutions to BPOs," he said.

The company's clients in India include L&T Infotech, ICICI Infotech, HPCL and Unit Trust of India.

Mr Goswami said the company was looking at developing proprietary products for IT infrastructure management. "We will concentrate on products and solutions for the niche market," he said.

According to him, CATS had registered a 70 per cent growth in turnover last year.
