Bank credit up Rs 4,711 cr

GROSS bank credit has increased by Rs 4,711 crore to touch Rs 7,66,636 crore as on November 28. This is inclusive of food credit, which grew by Rs 1,023 crore to touch Rs 36,461 crore and non-food credit, which increased by Rs 3,688 crore to Rs 7,30,175 crore, according to RBI's Weekly Statistical Supplement.

During this period, loans and advances provided by the RBI to the State Governments declined by Rs 335 crore to touch Rs 5,883 crore.
