Rubber Rubber moves up on active purchases Our Correspondent
Kottayam , Dec. 15 RUBBER rates moved up on Monday. The covering groups were active in the market. The arrivals decreased as the global markets showed positive trend. All the grades improved on moderate buying while ungraded rubber and latex remained steady on poor demand. RSS 4 improved to Rs 53.50 from Rs 53.25 a kg on Saturday. At the Bangkok market, RSS 3 was quoted at Rs 56.47 against Rs 55.97. The January futures closed at 143.9 yen against 139 yen at TOCOM. The futures market stayed in tune with the international markets quoting the January delivery at Rs 55.75 (Rs 55.31), February at Rs 58.40 (Rs 57.88), March at Rs 60.63 (Rs 59.89) and April at Rs 62.90 (Rs 61.98) per kg for RSS 4. The spot market rates per kg on Monday wereRSS 4 Rs 53.50 (Rs 53.25); RSS 5 Rs 51 (Rs 50.75); Ungraded Rs 48.50 (Rs 48.50); ISNR 20 Rs 51.75 (Rs 51.25); and Latex 60% Rs 39.50 (Rs 39.50).
