Gas conservation programme launched

New Delhi , Dec. 15

THE Union Petroleum Minister, Mr Ram Naik on Monday launched a nation-wide natural gas conservation programme. Termed the first Natural Gas Conservation Programme of GAIL (India) Ltd, the conservation programme is aimed at the user industries like power, fertiliser, steel, sponge iron, transport, glass, ceramic and petrochemicals.

The programme would provide the user industries with measures to conserve natural gas.

According to Mr Ram Naik, the ongoing "Save Oil" campaign can be recast as "Save Oil & Gas."
