Bangalore , Dec. 16

PHARMA company Micro Labs has for the third time in a row bagged the Quality Excellence Award 2003 of IDMA (Indian Drug Manufacturers Association). The annual award is given on the basis of turnover, the company said.

Micro said it had won the award amidst competition with high-turnover companies. "The award comes as an icing on the cake" at a time when Micro's manufacturing facilities have been approved by the health authorities of Canada and Colombia, it said.

Mr Prakash Mudda, GM (Manufacturing), received the award at the 42nd IDMA Annual Awards Ceremony in Mumbai..

The Rs 450-crore Micro Labs, ranked 16th among 300 listed companies by AC Nielsen-ORG, is one of the country's fastest growing companies. It manufactures therapeutic products in cardiovascular, dermatological, ophthalmology, psychotropic, anti-diabetic, neurological, anti-bacterial, anti-fungal, anti-allergant, analgesic and gynaecological segments.
