The Hindu Business Line : Suggestion to women SHGs

MADURAI: The women self-help groups must either produce raw materials or manufacture spare products required for projects taken up by other groups in the same area, the Nagapattinam District Collector, Mr Veera Shanmugha Moni, has suggested.

Speaking at a mass contact programme in the Thirumarugal block recently, he said if each group concentrated on a specific component, the quality of the finished product would be good and could capture a ready market. If this required common infrastructure, it could be built with the funds available with the District Rural Development Agency, he added.
