The Hindu Business Line : Zee office in Mumbai ransacked

A GROUP of people claiming allegiance to the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) allegedly ransacked the office of Zee Network at Mumbai suburb of Andheri to protest against a political satire `Gadle Bighadle' on Alpha Marathi channel.

The ire was particularly on account of Monday's episode of the show, which criticised the Maharashtra's Deputy Chief Minister, Mr Chhagan Bhujbal.

According to Zee, at least 10 people were injured in the attack. The activists broke window panes, smashed office property and beat up the security officers.

Meanwhile, Mr Bhujbal has reportedly sent in his resignation owning moral responsibility for the attack on Zee Network offices, according to news channels.
