LRCs at Kottayam and Kozhikode Medical Colleges

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The All-Kerala Medical Graduates Association (AKMG) and the Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (CDAC), Thiruvananthapuram, have entered into a memorandum of understanding to extend the concept of learning resource centres (LRCs) at the Kottayam and Kozhikode Medical Colleges.

The MoU was signed during a ceremony here to celebrate the first anniversary of the LRC at the Thiruvananthapuram Medical College. The function was organised at CDAC, inaugurated by the Minister for Health, Mr P. Sankaran, and presided over by the Health Secretary, Mr K. Ramamoorthy. The participants included the Director of Medical Education, Ms Meenu Hariharan, Principals of the three Medical Colleges and AKMG office-bearers.

Mr Rajan T. Joseph, Executive Director, C-DAC, welcomed the gathering and Mr R. Ravindra Kumar, Additional Director, presented the technical features of the LRC.

The entire cost of setting up and managing the LRCs will be borne by the respective alumni of AKMG by way of voluntary contributions.
