Terrorism Bid on Naidu: Naxal group identified Our Bureau
Hyderabad , Dec. 25 A NINE-member CPI (ML) People's War Group action team, led by Takkellapalli Vasudeva Rao alias Aashanna, took part in the claymore mine attack on the Chief Minister, Mr N. Chandrababu Naidu, at Alipiri on October 1. The Special Investigation Team (SIT) probing the attack has so far arrested eight people who were alleged to have helped the action team. Briefing presspersons in Tirupati, Dr D.T. Naik, SIT chief, said the Naxalites had been planning the attack since June last. "They even attended the Mahanadu (the annual general body meeting of the Telugu Desam Party) held in May in Tirupati," he said.
