Awards & Honours BHEL engineer bags award Our Bureau
HYDERABAD: Dr Hari Shankar Jain, Additional General Manager, heading the gas insulated power equipment and switchgear laboratory at Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd's (BHEL) Corporate R&D division, has won the `National Design Award 2003'. The award was instituted by the Institution of Engineers (India) and the National Design and Research Forum. Dr Jain received the award at a function organised at Lucknow recently. "Dr Jain's efforts in the design and development of Gas Insulated Substations in 36 kV and 145 kV classes have opened up a new business proposition for the organisation," BHEL said here in a statement.
