Gitex to feature retail components

THE third edition of Gitex Hyderabad, scheduled for January 12-14, will also feature a retail component called `Gitex computer shopper', according to the Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC), the organisers.

The international exhibition to be held at the Hitex Exhibition Centre is introducing this feature for the first time and offers deals on a wide selection of computer hardware, software, peripherals, telecommunication products and multimedia options.

Mr Abdulla T. Qassem, General Manager (Exhibitions, Leasing and Operations), DWTC, said that leading ICT companies have indicated their interest in Gitex-2004.

Microsoft, Vanenberg Asia, HSBC, Iomega, L&T Infocity, BSNL, Elcot, Dubai Internet City, SAIF Zone and several exhibitors from West Asia and the US are expected to participate. Nasscom will conduct a conference on e-governance, ITES, IT services and emerging opportunities concurrently with Gitex Hyderabad.
