Cricket series gets high viewership for ESPN Star

RAHUL Dravid's exhilarating spell has revived the interest for test cricket with ESPN Star Sports garnering an average of 6.1 television ration points (TRPs) on the final day of the India-Australia match played at Adelaide.

The TRPs touched 8.9 at an all-India level, which is the highest rating for any test match on a given day in the last two years.

According to data by TAM India covering males over 15 years of age in SEC A, B and C in cable and satellite (C&S) homes, overall the test match recorded a high 3.6 TRPs across five days.

On the final day of the historic Adelaide test, centres such as Kolkata and Hyderabad registered TRPs of 19 and 12, respectively, setting a new high for test matches telecast by ESPN Star Sports.
