Dr Rao elected as ISGPB president

HYDERABAD: Dr M.V. Rao, well-known agriculture scientist has been elected President of the Indian Society of Genetics and Plant Breeding (ISGPB). The Society was established in 1940.

Dr Rao is currently Chairman of the Andhra Pradesh Netherlands Biotechnology Programme. A former Vice-Chancellor of the Acharya N.G. Ranga Agriculture University (ANGRAU), he also served as a Special Director-General of the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR).
