Tata Steel domestic sales up 7 pc in April-December

TATA Steel made a record production of 3.17 million tonnes and 3.05 million tonnes of crude and saleable steel respectively during the period April to December 2003-04, marking a growth of 6 per cent over the corresponding period of the last financial year.

According to a press release from the company, domestic sales registered a growth of 7 per cent during this period to end at 2.45 million tonnes. The company exported 0.46 million tonnes in the first nine months of 2003-04.
