US chamber keen on trade ties with SMEs

A 10-MEMBER visiting delegation of the Asian Indian Chamber of Commerce from the US is keen to forge trade ties with the small and mid-sized Indian firms.

The delegation headed by Congressman, Mr Frank Pallone Jr. and Ms Seema Singh, President, AICC, will attend a series of meetings with various Indian corporates and meet the Chief Ministers of Maharashtra, Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh.

According to Ms Singh, US-based companies are bullish about the knowledge and entrepreneurial reservoir of Indian business houses in select industries "which can be translated into high revenue projects".

The delegation was looking at promoting business relationships between the US and Indian companies in the areas of IT, financial sector, biotechnology and pharmaceuticals, an official release said.
