Sutherland to set up BPO unit in Mumbai

Chennai , Jan. 6

SUTHERLAND India, a provider of customer management services, is setting up a business process outsourcing (BPO) centre in Mumbai.

This is the company's first exercise in expanding outside Chennai. It recently struck an alliance with the Dallas-based management consultancy, ISANI Group, to focus on companies in the UK and the US to help clients get the most out of sending work offshore.

The new centre, to be located in Malad, is to become operational this month and would accommodate 500 employees.
