MoU signed for ceramic unit

THE first day of the CII's Partnership Summit being held here marked the signing of memorandum of understanding for setting up a Rs 115-crore ceramic unit in the State at Peddapuram in East Godavari district.

Signed between the Andhra Pradesh Government and the UAE-based RAK Ceramics Ltd, the MoU would see the latter establish the unit on a 100-acre plot to manufacture polished and unpolished porcelain tiles with an installed capacity of 20,000 square feet a day.

The MoU was signed by Mr Samir Sharma, Commissioner of Industries, AP, and the UAE company was represented by its CEO, Mr Khater Massaad.
