IOC releases Xtra Premium in Visakhapatnam

Our Bureau

VISAKHAPATNAM: Indian Oil Corporation released its premium, hi-octane petrol, Xtra Premium, here on Wednesday. On the occasion, Mr I. Koti Padmakar, General Manager, IOC, said it had already been released in Hyderabad, but the company was not able to sell at the same rate as other oil companies and Rs 1 more per litre was being charged due to the extra transport cost.

In Visakhapatnam, however, the price would be competitive, as the 91 octane would be procured from Haldia refinery and mixed with the petrol here. He said gradually the product would be released all over coastal districts and the rest of Andhra Pradesh.
