Samtel Color reports flat cash profit

RIDING high on the successful launch of super flat tubes in India, Samtel Color Ltd has posted a cash profit of Rs 24.71 crore for the quarter ended December 2003. The total turnover rose by more than six per cent to Rs 270.81 crore during the quarter compared to Rs 254.34 crore reported in the same quarter previous year.

The company posted a net profit of Rs 8.11 crore as compared to the higher profit of Rs 8.56 crore reported in the same quarter ended December 2002. However, the company maintained the cash profit (PBDT) at Rs 24.71 crore for the quarter in comparison to Rs 24.72 crore earned in the corresponding quarter of last year.

"The performance in the present quarter has been achieved despite any major trigger or event as had been the case last year," said Mr Satish Kaura, Chairman & Managing Director, Samtel Color Ltd.
