Awards & Honours On for her Shashi Ashiwal
Sister Wandana Dabhi of Narmada district in Gujarat receiving the Jankidevi Bajaj Puraskar for 2003 from the film maker, Mr Shyam Benegal, in Mumbai on Wednesday, for her work in tribal areas of the State and her initiative in forming a credit co-operative for `adivasi' women. The award is instituted by the ladies' wing of the Indian Merchants' Chamber for encouraging women entrepreneurs in rural areas.
