Hudco loan for Rly projects

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Housing and Urban Development Corporation (Hudco) has sanctioned a loan of Rs 99.4 crore for taking up 15 rail over-bridges through the State of Kerala.

Announcing this, a Hudco spokesman said here that the Roads and Bridges Development Corporation of Kerala would implement the projects. Part funding of the project would be sourced from the Ministry of Railways as reimbursement. Initially, Hudco would provide the full amount.

The projects are located in the districts of Kannur, Kozhikode, Malappuram, Palakkad, Thrissur, Ernakulam and Kollam. The project is in addition to another ongoing one, also funded by Hudco to the extent of Rs 59 crore, for the construction of 19 rail over bridges.
