Biocon's Pulse Polio drive

BANGALORE: Biocon India organised and took part in the recent national Pulse Polio drive in over 30 villages around its campus, the company has said.

More than 1,600 children were immunised against polio as a part of this programme.

Biocon organised eight mobile camps in neighbouring villages and its HR team, along with doctors, medical staff and volunteers from the company, visited most of the neighbouring villages and schools.

Dr Nirupa Bareja, Group Head-HR, said, "Biocon's Pulse Polio programme has been an ongoing activity for the last four years and reiterates our commitment to promote good health and strengthen underprivileged communities. Biocon would like to join forces with others in this drive for eradicating polio from India ... in the next few years."
