BANGALORE: Spice Telecom has announced reduction in roaming rates by more than 60 per cent for all its subscribers.

The new roaming rates will come into effect from Friday. Subscribers would be charged Rs 1.99 per minute while roaming on all incoming calls as well as outgoing mobile-to-mobile calls.

For outgoing calls to other networks, they will be charged at Rs 1.99 per minute up to 200 km, Rs 2.99 per minute up to 500 km and Rs 3.99 per minute beyond 500 km.

However, while roaming in MTNL (Mumbai and Delhi), and Reliance (North East, Madhya Pradesh, West Bengal, Assam, Bihar and Orissa) networks, the old roaming rates will apply. Spice has also reduced the monthly roaming rental to Rs 20.
