Lufthansa to extend four seasonal flights till March

THE German airlines, Lufthansa, has announced that it would extend its four seasonal flights on the Bangalore-Frankfurt route till the end of the winter schedule of March 27, following the Government extension of its Open Sky Policy. The policy was earlier limited between January and February this year.

With the addition of these four weekly flights under the temporary Open Sky Policy, Lufthansa currently offers a total of 28 weekly flights to and from India.The airline currently offers 24 scheduled weekly flights, linking four gateways in India with Frankfurt, which includes daily flights to and from New Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai with Boeing 747-400 aircraft, and three weekly flights to and from Bangalore with Airbus A340-300 aircraft.

Mr Werner Heesen, General Manager - Passenger Sales India and Director, South Asia, Lufthansa, said, "Lufthansa welcomes the Government of India's decision to extend the Open Sky Policy till March 27. There is a very strong demand for Lufthansa flights between Bangalore and Frankfurt and the extension of the date will help meet this demand."

The flight, LH 755 from Bangalore to Frankfurt, will take off from Bangalore at 02:40 hours arriving in Frankfurt at 08:15 hours. The return flight, LH 754 from Frankfurt to Bangalore, will leave Frankfurt at 11:30 hours, arriving in Bangalore at 00:50 hours
