Visakhapatnam , Jan. 12

THE State Government had asked the district administration to identify a site for the setting up of an IT park in Visakhapatnam and a site near Madhurawada has been identified for the purpose, the District Collector, Mr Sunil Sharma, has said.

At a workshop on tourism organised here on Monday, he said the proposed IT park on a 100-acre site would become another sight-seeing place in the city on the lines of Hi-Tech City in Hyderabad. "The Chief Minister has promised release of more funds for the Jaatara project at Madhurawada being developed on the lines of Shilparamam and it will be completed soon,'' he said.

A Dubai-style shopping complex would come up in the new airport complex being developed along the 10,000-feet runway in the 242 acres provided for the purpose, which would also be another tourist attraction.
