Now, a `religious' channel from Zee

Our Bureau

New Delhi , Jan. 13

SPIRITUALITY sells. And the latest to join the bandwagon is the Zee Group with the launch of a "religious entertainment channel" — Jagran.

According to a company statement, the channel attempts to entertain the audience with mythological movies, serials, alternate living and alternate healing programmes, interactive astro solutions, spiritual content among others. The channel will also air discourses during prime time, which would be a compilation of various forms of Hinduism from `Arya Samaj' to the Jainism, from `Tantriks' to the `Mahatmas' and from the `Shloks' to the `Granthas'.

Mr Anil Anand, Channel Head, Jagran, said, "Jagran will give an overall experience that extends the currently restricted `prime time' viewership of religious channels from early morning hours, to nearly any time of the day."
