Virinchi plans expansion, to double headcount

VIRINCHI Technologies Ltd, the Hyderabad-based software company, has announced plans to expand operations, double its headcount to 250 with the addition of about 125 people in its development centre.

The Chairman and Managing Director of Virinchi Technologies, Mr K. Viswanath, said, "Year 2003 had more client visits and these visits are expected to result in client engagements. The focus on banking and financial services industry, manufacturing and construction, has begun to yield results that we will be able to sustain in the long-term."

During the quarter ended December 31, 2003, the company recorded an income of Rs 3.9 crore and a net profit of Rs 1.71 crore as against an income of Rs 1.4 crore and a net profit of Rs 0.11 crore during the corresponding quarter last year. For the financial year ended March 31, 2003, the company recorded total revenues of Rs 6.6 crore and a net profit of Rs 2.15 crore.
