Rajan to head operations of HDFC Bank

MR A. RAJAN, CEO of Flexcell, a joint-venture between i-flex Solutions and HDFC Bank, is slated to join as Head of Operations in HDFC Bank.

Mr H. Srikrishnan, currently Head of Operations and Transactional Banking, is soon to quit and join the new private sector bank, YES Bank.

Mr Rajan who had worked with HDFC Bank heading operations till 1999, was previously with Bank of America. He is expected to join soon, said sources.

While Mr Rajan will look at operations, the other responsibilities of Mr Srikrishnan will be divided between Mr Samir Bhatia, Country Head-Corporate Banking, who will look after SME lending and cash management services, and Mr Harish Engineer, Country Head-Wholesale Banking, who will manage the capital markets business.

Mr Srikrishnan is to join YES Bank with a seat on the board of directors either as an executive director or as a whole- time director.

The designation was in the process of being finalised, said sources.
