The models that Skoda will roll out in the country in the coming months include Superb, Laurin & Klement and Fabia, said Mr Imran Hassen, Managing Director of Skoda (India), .

The Superb and Laurin & Klement will be launched in March while the Fabia will debut by the end of the year, he said. An automatic version of Octavia and another variant with a 1.8-litre diesel engine will also be introduced during the year.

"In 2002, our sales was up by 10 per cent to 4,850 units. We expect to sell about 8,000 cars in this year," Mr Hassen said, adding that the number of Skoda dealers would also go up to 40 by the end of the year, from the current 33.
