Man Industries net rises

MUMBAI: Man Industries (India) Ltd has reported a rise in net profit to Rs 36.53 crore for the nine-month period ending December 31, 2003, as against the previous corresponding Rs 9.61 crore.

According to an official statement, sales for the period grew to Rs 420.51 crore (Rs 180.59 crore). In contrast, the company had a net profit of Rs 12.33 crore on a turnover of Rs 274.06 crore in 2002-2003.

Man Industries is among the largest SAW pipe manufacturers in the country. "We are confident of exceeding the projected turnover of Rs 500 crore by the year end. We have a very comfortable order book position at the moment,'' Mr J.C. Mansukhani, Managing Director, Man Industries (India) Ltd, has said.
