Chennai , Jan. 21

EVEREST Integrated Communications has bagged the LG Care account.

LG Care is the FMCG division of Korean chaebol LG. According to a press release, a few of the company's range of products will be formally launched in the country later this year.

Mr Ram Sehgal, Managing Director, Everest, was quoted as saying that the agency expects billings in the range of about Rs 20 crore in the first year. He said the account was "exciting" and "challenging" as it gave the agency an opportunity to work with LG and because the evolved personal care category demanded "all of our talents to create the right branding and imagery for this world-renowned brand."

LG, in fact, entered the personal care business in 1947, before it went into consumer electronics, the press release said. It makes toothpastes, detergents, shampoos, soaps, cleaners, baby diapers and hair styling products. The products will be imported from Korea. The nationwide roll-out is expected within the next three months.
