BHEL bags power plant order

MADURAI: Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd (BHEL) at Tiruchi, near here, has bagged a contract for setting up a 250-MW power plant at New Parli thermal power station extension project in Beed district in Maharashtra amidst international competitive bidding.

The Rs 599-crore order is from the Maharastra State Electricity Board. With this order, BHEL has crossed the highest ever order booking of Rs 10,000 crore in a single year in the power sector, according to release from BHEL.
