Parrys Q3 net at Rs 4 lakh

PARRYS Confectionery Ltd has reported a net profit of Rs 4 lakh on a total income of Rs 25.27 crore for the three months ended December 31, 2003.

During the corresponding period in the previous year, the company reported a net loss of Rs 1.12 crore on an income of Rs 22.44 crore. Total expenditure was Rs 23.34 crore (Rs 23.07 crore), interest Rs 26 lakh (Rs 50 lakh) and depreciation Rs 1.51 crore (Rs 1.39 crore).

For the nine months ended December 31, 2003, the company reported a net profit of Rs 8 lakh on an income of Rs 72.50 crore.

Parrys Confectionery is a part of the Murugappa group, which recently announced that it was selling its 60.39 per cent stake in the company to Lotte Confectionery Co Ltd of Korea for Rs 64.47 crore.
