Hutch launches e-TopUp pay facility in Gujarat

Ahmedabad , Jan. 21

HUTCH, the leading cellular service provider in Gujarat with over 8.2 lakh subscribers, on Tuesday announced a voucherless prepaid refill service called `eTopUp' to its customers in the State.

Offering freedom to recharge for any denomination, the eTopUp scheme enables subscribers to get an instant recharge of a denomination of their choice by simply visiting select Hutch retailers.

Initially on offer only in Ahmedabad, the mobile service provider soon plans to make the facility available across all Hutch retail outlets in Gujarat.

In addition, Hutch subscribers will also be able to recharge their connection while roaming across any of the 11 Hutch circles, thus reducing the inconvenience of carrying recharge coupons while travelling across the country. While the remote recharge facility will be operational nationally shortly, subscribers in Ahmedabad can avail the benefit of eTopUp with immediate effect.

"The eTopUp scheme will replace refill slips, leading to faster transfer of talktime as there would be no physical distribution of coupons. This is another first from Hutch, showcasing our customer orientation and innovation," Mr Sanjoy Mukerji, Chief Operating Officer, Hutch Gujarat, said in a news release here.

With the introduction of eTopUp, the Hutch Gujarat prepaid subscribers will now have the flexibility to refill their prepaid cards for any amount between Rs 324 to Rs 5,000 and not be restricted to pre-denominated cards.

Henceforth, the subscriber only need to pay the desired denomination at the Hutch retail shop, following which he would receive a message confirming the updated airtime details.
